INSTEAD OF WISHING FOR A BETTER 2026 - PLAN FOR IT!

Hi Reader - Happy New Year! How do you feel about this past year?

Take a moment to pause and reflect about your year.

  1. How do you feel about how you managed 2025?
  2. Have you achieved your goals or made significant progress towards them?
  3. How is your relationship with food? Are you comfortable and confident going to parties and eating out? Can you handle most of your emotions without reaching for food? Do you eat when hungry and stop eating when satisfied most of the time?
  4. Are you happy with how you look and feel? How is your strength and energy?
  5. Are you sleeping better?

If your answers are mostly positive and you’re content with your life, congratulations, and continue what you’ve been doing.

If you feel stuck or unhappy and feel like you’ve tried everything, but nothing ever “sticks”, it’s time for a different approach in 2026.

Make 2026 the year where you finally are happy with yourself and your life!

Why you should consider coaching for 2026:

  1. Coaching can help you achieve your goals faster and with less stress.
  2. It can show you where you need to make changes and help you make changes that last.
  3. Coaching can help you gain more confidence and feel more comfortable - no matter what your situation.

Whether or not you want to find out more about coaching, while you’re reflecting on 2025 and looking ahead to 2026, take 5 minutes and write down your biggest food, body, and health frustrations from 2025. Then write down 3 goals you would like to achieve in 2026 and how you are going to achieve those goals.

Refer to your lists of frustrations and goals frequently, and come up with a tentative plan for 2026.

How to Lose your diet thinking!

Dr Barbara L Katz Lose Weight in Menopause HOW TO GET RID OF DIET MENTALITY Hi Reader - I’ve been dieting on and off since my 20s. I still sometimes feel guilty when I eat a sundae, cinnamon roll, or soft pretzel - even when I’ve planned to eat it in advance. When I eat out, I feel like I should order a salad for lunch, rather than the restaurant specialty or something higher in calories. Even though I’m not on a diet and allow myself to eat what I want (in moderation), I still sometimes have...

you don’t have to be perfect

Dr Barbara L Katz Lose Weight in Menopause WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU MESS UP Hi Reader - I have a confession to make. I recently binged on mini-eclairs. I had defrosted two containers of eclairs to bring to a party, and still had about 20 eclairs left. I didn’t think the eclairs would freeze well, so I put them in the refrigerator. Then I ate them all the next day. It’s been months since I’ve overeaten to that extent. Instead of beating myself up, I took some time to figure out why the binge...
